If you want to speed up the game. Change the time on your computer. Just make sure u dont go to far ahead. Or if you do make sure your villagers have enough provisions to survive.
Example: Mom has 100 min left till child is on its own. Change your computer clock 1 1/2 hours ahead. POOF the baby is a child. Mom is productive again.

I've used the time warp as well except that if I try to change my clock back when I'm waiting for crops to grow, it make the crops take hours to produce yet people keept eating. I starved my population that way by accident and had to start over. As long as the crops are up though, it seems fine.

Also, can the golden child die? I solved all the puzzles and wanted to start again so for fun, I changed my computer ahead about 6 months to see what would happen and everyone died but the golden child.

People have been doing that with LDW's games for a long time, however there are some important cautions. If you're not careful, you could not only kill your villagers, you could mess up other applications on your computer, as well.

Computers use that system clock for more than just running games.
