I took your suggestions. I first picked Kiki, a Adept Scientist and first tried several times with Kumi, a Adept builder. No go. Then I tried Kiki with Hoto, a Master Scientist. No go, either. I dropped Kiki and picked up my Master Scientist, Raha, and dumped Hoto on her til the number went up. My little island colony now numbers eight!

My islanders are rather stubborn, aren't they?
