I was wondering, is there a time lapse between, ah, a couple going "into the hut" and the stork arriving? Cuz I've managed to make four couples go into the hut, but no babies yet. Wondering if there's a time lapse or if it was "instant"? Am playing the Windows version, by the way. All of my 7 villagers are healthy. I have level two of food and am researching like nuts to get level three. I have two Master Scientists - Raha and Hoto. Bruk seems slow on the uptake but he's also an Adept. The rest of the villagers are Trainee in Science, but some are Adepts in farming, and lone Kumi is an Adept Builder. I have solved the, ah, no spoilers, let's see... the first three puzzles in the top row of the puzzle list.

Well maybe there is a bit of magic in the island because if all goes as planned, the female should be nursing the baby as she leaves the hut.
If she isnt, there you'll need to try again. Maybe your Villagers aren't lucky in love :P

Actually, I have discovered that you can avoid the long wait for them to walk to the hut, go in, and come back out... AND you can tell when the woman got pregnant, if you're actively trying to increase your population or training parenting levels.
To force population growth, concentrate on one woman at a time. Note the population number, then just keep picking her up and dropping her on a man. The number will either stay the same (unsuccessfull breed) or go up one (indicating that she's now pregnant). They don't have to ever get near the hut. The kissy sound is the key. If your number didnt go up, pick her up and drop her on him again (or pick another guy). Eventually, the number will go up.
Even more fun... if the number goes up and you grab her and put her down again, the baby will appear immediately.

I took your suggestions. I first picked Kiki, a Adept Scientist and first tried several times with Kumi, a Adept builder. No go. Then I tried Kiki with Hoto, a Master Scientist. No go, either. I dropped Kiki and picked up my Master Scientist, Raha, and dumped Hoto on her til the number went up. My little island colony now numbers eight!
My islanders are rather stubborn, aren't they?

Quite the opposite in my case. My villagers were in love with each other. Everytime I had them together, they ALWAYS went indoors.

My villagers seem to be obsessed with breeding! Even when I don't even have them focusing on breeding they keep dropping whatever they are doing to find someone and enter the hut.
It's creating a rather larger population than I can handle right now, but hey, at least the villagers are having "fun"!
