Define "soon" please?

I've been using the village sim guides to help a little with virtual villagers, but there are so many things that are unique to virtual villagers that I am looking for answers to...

Like the strange fruitless plant that looks like it could bear fruit but no one tries to water it, no matter what or who I try.

Or the Island Event with the book about the island of pearls, where the guy reads the book, disappears into the forest and never, ever returns.

And I'd love to see a comprehensive list of island events, just for fun. I wouldn't even, necessarily, want a list of possible outcomes... just a list of possible events that might pop up.

Hmmm I Thought Figuring all that out was the fun part
