Regarding the Cliff Key, it’s been a very long time since I’ve completed that puzzle! You may need to use trial and error to find the sweet spot. Here are 2 suggestions I found that may help:

• After your villager uses the jump potion (Rose Bush + Cactus + Lotus), drop them at the base of the cliff. They should be able to jump high enough to retrieve the key. From: Official Guide to VV3 .

Or else try this: 'After your villager uses the jump potion, drop them near the pink diamond (the hanging thing) just above the Rose plant - their status line should read "trying to reach the key". They will jump up, collect the key, and place it in the door. If they drop the key before reaching the door, you will have to repeat this puzzle.’
