I can certainly understand your wistfulness at how different things are now. I have been working with LDW for over 20 years, and we've seen a lot of changes since the PalmOS/Pocket PC days.

Like I mentioned in this post, we have always tried to do the right thing as the industry and technology has evolved. Kathy and I are both still here, making sure that your voices are heard. smile

It is lovely that you guys are still around here. I literally grew up with your games. VVs and Plant Tycoon were with me in my childhood. VF2 and Virtual Town were there for me in my roughest years (high school). Now newer games don't speak to me in the same way, but I understand that paradigms change. I still can sense that all these games ended up being a part of who I am. I still listen to the soundtracks very often, as they still resonate with me. My aesthetic taste is definitely affected by the liminal-nature vibes in visuals of Plant Tycoon or first 3 VV's. Though I wish that things played out differently for casual gaming market after 2010, I appreciate that I can still wander around in this forumsite to reminisce the old days, or find new people who also enjoy the games and want to talk about them. My other favorite game studios had their online communities gone sadly, but LDWForums are still around to serve for, what, 22 years?
