Has anyone got these? I got the one where people in the town are supposed to help with weeding and gardening, but they don't actually help, at all. I had also gotten the one that is supposed to save money on town projects back when the game first came out, but that didn't seem to do anything either.

All of the ordinances are working for me. The Town Beauty ordinance doesn't mean that the peeps clean up everything, or even most stuff, but I have seen them walk over and pick up trash or pull a weed. The peeps are basically lazy, or else they wouldn't have needed a new mayor. They could have elected Mrs. M as mayor, or the banker.

The ones that save you money

Ah, maybe I do not give them a chance to clean. They sure are lazy though.

I've seen them pick up the occasional piece of litter or weed, and quite often hear the improvement chime when my mayor isn't responsible. I like to think that at least some of the chimes are down to the citizens doing some tidying-up offscreen.

I didn't note the cost of the house stuff, or the town upgrades stuff, before getting the ordinances, so I just had to trust it worked. But I actually did notice the one that is suppose to help in the store did not initially work for me. Then all of a sudden a few days later everything was about 25% cheaper. It was weird.

I finally saw someone pick up a weed! Seems I just wasn't giving the, a chance (pulling weeds is the first thing I do when I load up the game)
