Has anyone figured out the function of a peeps Luck?

To give some context, in the beginning stages of the gameplay when you choose your "avatar", you are shown their interests and such on their profile.

I wasn't sure if it had a special purpose or not, just curious grin

Yes, a mayor's luck does influence certain aspects of game play. I always consider a candidate's luck when I'm choosing a new adoptee.

If you want to "have it all" with respect to your mayor's luck, purchasing the Rabbit's Foot (a 99-cent in-app purchase) will make the mayor lucky in everything. laugh

Where do I find the rabbit's foot? I have yet to see that.

The Rabbit's Foot is an in-app purchase, which means it costs real money. To see it, tap the icon of the coin at the top of the game's display (next to the amount of money you have in the game). A window will open that shows you the different purchases you can make in Virtual Town. Scroll down a bit to see the Rabbit's Foot.

IMO, if you buy no other in-app purchases, this one is worth it because it's just a buck and affects all aspects of the game forever. It's subtle, but luck does help.

I bought the rabbit's foot, and it remains in my inventory. I am noticing ZERO "extra luck". Am I supposed to do something with it?

I leave mine in the mayors pocket to carry. I wasn't sure if putting it in his storage would matter or not. So just in case, I leave it on him/her..

My little Mayor is lucky in leadership, but I haven't noticed how this affects anything. Anyone know?

I tried to run an experiment on it by having a different luck parameter for each mayor and then keeping stats, but once the adoptee aged beyond 16 it became almost apples to oranges comparing a 2 week mayoral tenure to one half as long, especially as the maturity of the game came into play. Early mayors spend more money on projects, for instance, and the first mayor makes much less on Mrs. M's quests. If I ever get a mature game that I'm just coasting along in, I'll try it again.

I assume that luck parameters (and rabbits' feet, and the fortune telling lady) make small changes in your luck with something but don't make you omnipotent.
