I wonder what they meant by that. My townspeople are quite rude and I'm always worried that if I stop and talk to them when they're not looking for something, that my friendship meter may go down!

I believe they are talking about the beautiful town ordinance that cost $750 where the peeps will help in keeping the town clean. I have it and my mayor has to pick up litter, cut grass, et., but maybe there would be more litter without the ordinance.

Perhaps there is a connection between the ordinance and the peeps requesting shovels, machete. To be fair, I have seen a peep actually pull a weed.

P.S. I talk to them all the time and I have not seen any impact to their beauty meter, it only goes up after I have completed a task for them.
