I see my kid do "looking for mushroom" etc. does this have any points? could they get mushroom and collectible theirself.. or this just unuseful work?

No, this doesn't earn anything. You might well see a kid 'looking for mushrooms' and they'll completely miss one right in front of them. Unless you pick them up and drop them on the mushroom they won't earn any food.
