I've just seen an odd occurence, one of my villagers, a 14 year old girl called Cola is pregnant? Is this a 1st??? I know I live in Bracknell (a town renown for a high number of teen and under age single mothers in England) but this is ridiculouse LOL The only thing I can think of that may cause this, is that I pause my game and "lecture" my kids lots of times before they reach 14 so she was probably an adept parent, but still??? Has the girl no shame!!!

It's the result of an Island Event choice. There are several threads about that event.

It might also be a good time to point out that there are no pregnant villagers. Unlike real life, the mothers either are nursing, or not. No pesky little things ,like pregnancies, to muck up their lives.

The event refers to a love-lorn villager who is asked to choose between two gifts for the object of his/her affections. If you choose the 'wrong' one your villager is let down gently and told that the other villager loves another. If you make the 'right' choice you get the message that the love is reciprocated. However, what you are not told is that the female ends up with a baby!

I had a villager like that she was my only female and she got pregnant at 15. Tsk Tsk

I just got the same event. The father, was just 16 (now 17 year old male) Cola is 14. There are several women over 18, under 50. And this village there are more men than women.
And like the first post, the teenage girl's name is also Cola.

so i left my villagers for a day running, came back and a 14 yr old was pregnant. kind of funny

It's not a glitch. There are a couple of Island Events that can produce young mothers.
