Could something be interrupting her,
like a child banging dishes or switching the lights off and on?
Workshop careers can be a little tricky when it comes to fixing a house malfunction since dropping them in the workshop will often cause them to start working on their career! LOL! Next time
try dropping her on the shower until she goes to get the necessary tools to fix the clog and keep any naughty children occupied.
Of course if she marries a man with an office or kitchen career then you can have him fix the plumbing issues.
