Village or Family?
I'm hoping this post is in the right place & I'm sure the question has been asked, but I couldn't find the right wording for the search feature to confirm, so ....
Ironically, all of my longest running families & villages are on my ipod, not on my computer, even tho I've been playing VF & VV1 - 3 since 2009.
Virtual Families 1 - I've had on my ipod since July 2010 - however I had to restart the game at about generation 59 because the line died out. I'm on the next line and have lost count because it seems that the number of generations kept on the game resets after generation 30. When I just now tried to count the number of generations, it says there are currently 9 generations.
Virtual Villagers II - I've been playing that game on my ipod, with the same village, non-stop since July 2010.
Virtual Villagers III - I've been playing this game on my ipod, with the same village, non-stop since July 2010. Although, in January of 2012, the village died out except for 1 male. And for most of January/February, just as the last remaining male was about to die, another male would show up from another village! By the end of February, a barrel of babies washed up & *whew* I was able to rebuild the village.
I will admit that there have been times that I've put VF & VV4 & VV5 on pause on my ipod, but for the most part, VV2 & VV3 have been mostly self-sustaining & able to be left alone for 2-3 weeks at a time before going back in, rebuilding the fire & making a few more babies.
I am totally addicted to these games & have them on my laptop, my smart phone & my ipod. LOVE 'EM!
Thanks for the cool games!

I hate to admit, only 2 or 3 generations (virtual families) and a few months, virtual villagers. But that is mostly because I had to get 2 refunds on my device, deleting the progress.

I have been playing VF2 & VV1 on my kindle since sometime in 2012. My virtual family is currently on generation 58 and I never had to restart. At times, I would have to pause the game but most of the time I leave it running. My VV1 are currently thriving and I almost always leave them unpaused, but at one point the game crashed and all my progress got lost.
