I play all the Virtual Villagers games I have downloaded over the years, and still enjoy each of them immensely.

With Virtual Villagers 3, I have never before encountered this present odd situation, though. All three fruit trees have been planted, bore their very first fruit, and were harvested. I am now many hours into the game, have a population of 25, have completed level 2 of the Magic Faction, and my villagers have filled the food bin with over 20,000 units of fish. However, the fruit trees have NOT bore anymore fruit since the initial harvest. As I said, I have never seen this happen before. Not a single piece of fruit.

I know it's possible to leave the game open, come back, and fruit MAY have been harvested already, but I know this has not happened, because I make a habit of pausing the game instead of leaving it open. Also, there is usually one or two pieces left on each tree that the villager fail to pick even after all other fruit has been harvested.

Can someone please explain why this is happening? Thankfully, the villagers do have plenty of food from fishing and mushroom picking.
