I've gotten a few of my peeps past 60 years old, but I can't seem to pass 65! I feed them only organics, besides the bags of groceries from the lotto tickets, I feed them a few times a day, I check on them frequently... any idea how to help my peeps get past the 65 year mark?

Assuming you are playing the PC/Mac version of the game, there's only been enough time for a handful of generations. I'm sure a 65-year-old will come along eventually, as long as you continue to look after your little people.

In my experience, after a few generations and everything is going good, if you have some peeps in between 60-65, make sure they have plenty of groceries, praise a few non-work/recreational activities and then let them be for awhile.

This is really the only way I've ever gotten one to be over 65. I usually will come back to both the goal having been reached and to find the peep passed on.

I don't know why, but if I check on them regularly or keep the food minimal or have them working even after they've slowed down, it's just a recipe for disaster. I just lost a 59 year old because of this. For some reason, letting them retire comfortably and then letting them live without my constant supervision seems to do the trick.

Thanks Arnie and Princess!!! Yes Arnie, I am playing PC. I got the last age goal on the first VF fairly quickly, so I was concerned I was missing something this time! :-D

I'm going to try this with one of my current families. The woman (who just had triplets!!!)has a career in a room that I already have the goal for, so I'm going to keep her barefoot and pregnant...and not working at all. I'll feed her all of the fruit and vitamins that come up. Plus, if hubby passes away first, I'll keep her going.

I love experimenting with my families!

Let us know how it works out Ajuma! My wife passed this morning and didn't reach the 65 mark... close though! I guess I'll just have to keep trying.

Knowing some of the ways Arthur's mind works I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes a Master in her career in double-quick time, and you have to drag her away from working. Peeps seem to take great delight in being cussed sometimes. smile

I generally make sure a female peep has completed successfully at least one work cycle (with use of the green glove to reinforce the 'lesson') before I have her try for a baby. That way she's likely to make a start on continuing her career after the baby starts to run around before I reopen the game.

In one case I had to leave for work in a few minutes, so had my new bride try for a baby as soon as she got married with no time for the usual training. When I got back home she was already on level 3, even after taking time out to have the baby.

Both my family members (the 'matriarch' and the 'patriarch' of the family smile ) died shortly after achieving the age of sixty. I wasn't expecting the to die; they were in good health and I stocked their good store high so they'd have enough. It was a surprise when I opened up the game and found them passed frown

I actually had one couple reach level 8 (Both masters) at the age of 60/61 I was thrilled as the male made Master by the time he was 55. smile
Another game I have one father that refuses to work is always sick and I am thoroughly fed up wasting medicine and money on him. Now he is depressed, but if he dies off I will just go on with my family.
I am not spending another cent on him.
