G'day,

Some bugs with VF1.0.1 for IOS;

1. No sound
2. The skill that allows searching for bones was sighted once SEVEN generations ago and hasn't been seen since!
3. The EPA still chase me even thought the entire house has been upgraded - each time the occupants get the "itch" and I need to waste money to fix them.
4. Despite the entire house being upgraded, they still smell the room.... why?

Tip of the iceberg... let's fix these first!

Hi Gammo,

To take these in order:
1. Is there no sound in music or sound effects, or just one of them? I assume you've checked the options screen and sounds are enabled. Are sounds turned on for the device itself? Do you get sounds OK in other games/apps? Did sound work in the earlier version?
2. This isn't a bug. The certificate is intended to appear only very rarely.
3. Sorry, I don't understand this; what does EPA mean?
4. Again, not a bug.

G'day Arnie,

1. No sound in either version, but I do have sounds in other apps (eg Civilisation, iTunes).
2. Maybe a bit less rare - takes the fun out of trying to collect!
3. Before upgrading there used to be a room full of chemicals. Every so often a message would appear from the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) saying you had to pay a fine for the chemicals in the house. That message still appears even when the room has been upgraded and all chemical removed. It's happened twice since upgrading the whole house, and each time the occupants get itchy and need to be medicated...
4. Boring!

Gammo, we have not had issues with either sound effects or music on any of our test devices, and yours is only the second report we have seen about audio not working in VF2.

Missing audio and/or images can be caused by insufficient free memory to load game assets (a fairly common problem on devices with less than 1 GB of RAM). Have you tried closing all apps from the multi-task bar, then launching the game and adjusting both the sounds and music sliders? Please let us know if that has any effect on the problem.

As for the other issues you're seeing in the game, as Arnie said, they aren't really caused by glitches. Since the Flea Market refreshes its contents several times a day, you might want to check for the certificate at least a couple of times a day to increase your chances of seeing it. The events are random, and they will repeat. Sometimes that can actually be a good thing. Nevertheless, we can take a look at that particular event to see if it should be presented only prior to renovations having been completed. laugh

Hi there! I seem to have a glitch as my 2nd bathroom's toilet is broken and leaking all over the bathroom floor but my little people are not even noticing it! I drag one to the toilet and they either have a wee break or they do something else (like read a book) I haven't had problems before - I've had oven fire, dryer lint fire, leaky shower etc and notice it and I can help them fix it but as they aren't noticing it they can't fix it! Help! Thanks! CP

I've noticed two issues.

1. Somehow my Food Club in-app purchase is showing to be active, although I did not purchase that. I was wondering why my food amount never went down.

2. In a house currently on the 6th generation, I've only encountered one breakdown to fix. I know they're random, but... you know smile It seems an awful long time to go without, and that goal isn't ever going to be complete at this pace.

Got a bug in my game.

After the update, I'm having problems in thesection from the stairway next to Bedroom 1, along the corridor and all the way to Bedroom 2. Everytime I try to pick up socks or wrappers in that area, all my characters will pick up the item, drop it immediately, try to do another action, stop, try another action, stop, again and again, until I remove that character from that area.

In Bedroom 2, I have to drop my character onto an object properly, else the same situation happens if the character is trying to make up his/her own mind as to what to do next.

Hi Boey. smile It sounds like your little people think there is something blocking their path to where they need to go with the sock or wrapper. Since they cannot take the sock/wrapper where it needs to go, they choose to do something else instead. You can read more about it in this post.
