I saw a previous post with the same issue. The maid won't come, even though she is much needed, and she is purchased. She came once, cleaned up, and left. Same with my gardener. It's been a week, she won't come, neither will the gardener. I used the task killer and re-opened VF 2 a few times, still no use.

Is it possible that you accidentally fired her?
