Terribly confused! I thought my little pam pet was a dog!
(wishful thinking eh?)it would seem that I was wrong????little palm pets are cats, but mine barks!I will continue to think of mine as a dog, he just cannot be a cat! ....Can he?

I think this... sound, that you interpret as barking, could be taken either way, really. my cat makes a very similar sound to the Little Palm Pet. She murrs, she doesn't really meow. I think your pet is a cat if you want it to be a cat, and a dog if you want it to be a dog. I'm pretty sure they were designed to be seen as either ^_^

I refer to mine as a "Cog," because it has characteristics of both a cat and a dog. Cats like to play with mice, dogs like bones, they both like balls - stereotypically speaking.

I think it would be great in a future release if LDW offered pets that were clearly dog or cat! (Or maybe ferrets and hamsters?) LOL

Lol! Cog... I like that, Barbara! I've got to remember that one... I wish I had the money to reg my lpp. They keep dying of illness at least once a week >.< It's very sad Sparkles the kitty (or Cog, if you prefer, there's pictures of him in the "Mutants" post) died yesterday, and instead of turning back the clock in hopes he wouldn't get sick (for the 20-something-th time) I let him go... Very sad Good luck with your Cog, gamefanatic! Take good care of him/her ^_^

Thanks! Cog is the best word coined to describe little palm pet. I'm on my second "cog" after the first one passed on courtesy a drugs overdose! My fault, I got impatient and administered a second dose much too soon after the first!
Another thing,is there any way of going back when choosing a pet? I always want to see all available options before choosing, but feel I have to stop somewhere, and invariably feel I might have missed a cuter pet!!! I suppose eventually I'll get through the lot of them......oh dear!

I haven't seen a way to go back to a previously offered cog. I have noticed, though, that if you keep going for awhile, you will notice a finite number of features that appear in various combinations. For example, as we were rejecting cog after cog, my daughter noticed that there was a leopard-like fur that she wanted her cog to have. She also wanted a certain type of ears, so we just kept going until we got the combination she was looking for. You can use the "window shopping" time to check out what the variations are (fur color, ear type, etc.!) It might take a little while, but you can get exactly what you want that way.

It's not a Cat or Dog it's a LPP. Or you can call it a Cog or Cag or Dat or Dot. I just call him or her LPP. Not very original but to call it anything else I just don't like it. Just my opinion.
