I keep putting the villager to the research table but the skill keep staying the same and never went up

( adept or trainee )the villagers i have

Make sure their "Preference" is set to "Research" in the villager detail screen (see below) and keep placing them at the table... they will gain skill.

I did, i have play like 2 weeks but i just can't get a master scientist is there something wrong

you're not alone I can't seem to get Master researcher either course I've had to keep starting over because I didn't really understand what to do but now I somewhat do I'm stuck at the moment and only have 4 task done i cant get my villagers to clear the creek any ideas please
