Hey Everyone,

It seems like when I breed 8-10 fish at a time (they all say pregnant), when the babies arrive only half of the fish seem to have produced a baby. There are no dead ones in my tank, and I'm on level 3 environment and food. Is this normal?

When I check the fish combination on the cleverarts database, a fish combo appears.

Should you not breed more than 4-6 fish at a time?

Puzzled,
Janet

You can't have more than 20 fish in one tank at a time (or something close to that). So when they do have their babies, if the number in the tank exceeds 20, they get eaten!

Yep Anon's right. 20 fish is the limit per tank. If you want to breed so many fish at one time, divide the fish up between two or even all three tanks I usually put five pregnant fish in my selling and second tanks, and put any others I have in my first tank Putting pregnant fish in the selling tank is especially good if you want to sell your breeder fish as soon as they've had babies, since the babies don't get sold. Since I usually have alot of fish at one time, I generally move all the babies to the selling tank when I'm waiting for them to grow ^_^ That way, if I accidentally hit the 'sell' button, I don't lose any fish by accident >.< It's happened before O.o Good luck! ^_^

If you look at the date on these posts, you'll see that they are before Fish Tycoon was released for either Windows or Mac. The discussions here are about the PDA versions of the game, which have a limit of 20. The capacity was increased to 21 for the Windows and Mac versions to accommodate the seahorse, which doesn't exist in the PDA versions.

That's one of the game's secrets. If you pay attention, you can figure it out. (and it's LadyCFII).
