Heyah,
If an adult dies due to an illness, then can the reamining partner get remaried and have more children with that person?

Yes, the surviving partner should be getting e-mail messages from others, after the original partner passes on. They can even get e-mails when they are in their old age. A younger person can have more children, but the older couples usually do not. But I've had adoptions occur with older couples.

Actually the answer is no if the couple had children. The surviving spouse will only get a marriage proposal if there were no children raised by either partner.

As MissKathy points out, that answer is only true if the couple had no children. Since there are issues with the family tree when there are children in the family, a surviving spouse will receive no proposals after the other parent passes on.
