Hi, a few days (or a day(?)) ago, Miss Kathy did me a great mod which took over a girl's hair and replaced it with a black version of another it can be seen in the post below (look it up in the Search): Mod request- hair makeoverAs you saw, I already had another mod for someone else on and Miss Kathy was unable to do another so I ask if anyone could do it for me? I would really appreciate it! Please tell me if you don't understand any bit as it seemed a bit muddled to me! Thanks

If you can get me the mods you want put together I can attempt it. I've not attempted a mod like this before, but I'm willing to try.

Um, I'd like to give you the direct link but I can't. What I mean is that most people say things like "That post can be found here" and the 'here' is connected to the link. If you could tell me how to do it, I'll be able to tell you which post to look at. Thank you! Of course, if you don't know how, I'll give you the link or show you the pictures that you need to see. You can use the here
tags to link to the post. Place the link after the equal sign, which would replace the text http://www.ldw.com in my example.

I can only locate the link to the mod that you requested. I can't find the one to the one you're using, I can see the picture you put, but I can't find the exact images that need to be worked with.

Hello they8pizza. Seashall wants this mod and this mod merged to that she gets to keep the blonde that Lyssaria merged on the first one and the brunette that I'd merged on the second. You will need to do it on all 4 png's that have the female heads.

Um, something odd has happened: All my peeps have white or black boxes on their heads! What happened?

I took a look at the images, and the transparency of those files was not preserved during the work to merge them, which is why all of the peeps' heads have boxes around them. One possible reason for that (and a link to one solution for it) is discussed here. If you still have the previous images, you can simply go back to those for the time being. I also moved that mod post to an admin area to prevent it being accidentally downloaded and used by anyone else.

Did you save your original images for the heads before you replaced them? We always advise that precaution, in case something goes wrong. If you didn't, you can re-download the game from wherever your uncle purchased it, or you can perhaps download a different mod of those images and use them for now.

Thanks goodness, I did save my original images so I'm all right! Whew! But It's a good thing you put that link for the mod away! Imagine what would've happened if loads of people downloaded the mod!

I made that same mistake my first time around when I'd merged head images. It's important to use an image editing program that supports transparency. For me it's only an issue when modding a png file. I love Photoshop and miss being able to use it on this computer. Gimp works well and I am slowly learning how to use it. I used Gimp to do the merge for you Seashall. It's was very nice of they8pizza to do the mod. She just needs to adjust the 'save' settings and it'll be "good to go".

All I can use is paint to do mods. I guess it's not good enough for that kind of mod.

Yes, unfortunately Paint can't save a transparent png. Alot of people use it for modding the maps for the game though. If you ever want to try Gimp it is free and available for download. Krystal also did 2 video tutorials to help people learn how to use it. They're posted here in the forums.

I have dial-up so it can be a pain to download things. I'll think about it when I have more patience though.
