At this time, we are not planning to release a smaller version of the game.

It may be better for you to play the game on a desktop or laptop, as either of those are better suited to be a gaming platform than a netbook (or notebook).

The modern trend in the gaming industry is to release games in 1024x768, which is the size of VV5. All of our previous games were 800x600.

Netbooks are simply not gaming machines, nor were they intended to be.

Actually, the modern trend is to give a choice of resolution options and has been for years. Even more so the modern trend is towards widescreen gaming.

Playing a 1024x768 game on a widescreen laptop (1920x1200) is a PITA. The obvious choice is to use fullscreen but then the aspect ratio is wrong. Most people these days use widescreen, standard aspect is becoming a legacy option.

That is true for core games, but for the casual game industry, the standard is still a single resolution, which has historically been 800x600. It's only been in the last year or so that casual game developers have started moving to 1024x768.
