The rascal is the evil version of the golden child.

I had never thought about that. It could be true. We know from certain island events the Golden Child is missing. We know after Rascal is converted he/she becomes a master devotee. Maybe the heavens kidnapped the Golden Child. It's fun to speculate.

I'd much rather have the Rascal, who does limited damage and is not immortal. The Golden Child bothered the entire village every few minutes, not just one or two villagers at a time, and could never be gotten out of the way.

I personally prefer the Golden Child to the Rascal. Perhaps because it's harder for me to occupy the Rascal(without using the
Click to reveal..
butterflies and then the bees by any of the deep water sorces (lake and bottom of the waterfall work best)
to accomplish that.) With the Golden Child all I had to do was
Click to reveal..
use the drum to make him go to school
every few seconds. Much simplier in my opinion.

You know, it sounds like the 'Guiding Hand' actually WANTED the golden child to dissapear. Not in any sinister way though, but yea.
