Had all the second techs, was patiently waiting for last kiddies to be born so I could put 5 in the totem find out what happened, then accidentaly clicked start over!!!!!!!
WHY IS START OVER RIGHT UNDER QUIT?
WHY DOESN'T IT SAY ARE YOU SURE? YES OR NO?????????
Is there any way to retrieve my village?

Well, I was going to suggest you check the saveGame files as each game slot has a backup file that doesn't seem to get updated immediately. So, if the game slot that you accidentally deleted was Virtual Villagers - New Believers1.ldw then you could try replacing it with the one named Virtual Villagers - New Believers21.ldw by removing the number 2 from the name before closing the game. May be too late now. Sorry I don't have any other advice to offer.

The game does ask you if you're sure you want to restart the current game, but if you go ahead and click OK or hit Enter, the game will be restarted. Unfortunately, when you restart a game, both of the savegame files are recreated with the new game's data, since the old data is no longer valid for the new game.
