just wondering who here has lost relics scientific item or had to do task more then once to a yellow heathen know as rascal?

I haven't seen any yellow heathens. Just blue, orange and red.

About half of my relics have been lost to aggressive heathens. Most of all 'Rascal'.

And I think by yellow, red3080 means orange.

It says in the guide they are yellow, but they do look kind of orange.

Anyway, yeah, that rascal annoys me. He keeps my villagers from harvesting and the kids from bringing in relics, scientific trinkets, and mushrooms.

i use lightning that always work

yes lightening works but butterflies are cheaper.....the yellow masked children, most of whom seem to be named Rascal, are a real pain and have cost me several of the rare and uncommon relics and lab pieces....the adult yellow masks I can usually avoid because they stay close to their areas and when they go to the grove in a rain they use the same path pretty much. But the kids can and do go anywhere and everywhere even chasing my scientists out of the lab and they never seem to grow up...In one of my tribes Rascal must have a dislike of running cuz he moves at a snails pace and once when I had to use bees he got chased by them too and got stuck in the pools it was nice to be without him for awhile but when I opened the game the next day he was free and I thought darn it anyway why didn't he stay stuck. The kids and rascal in particularily are the worst and I find myself laughing at them even though they frustrate me.

i use lightning because i don't like her [could be a him for others] i had a lot of trouble doing puzzle 15 because of rascal.

Actually, Rascal is it's skill. It can have any name. Mine is currently Ino.

Yeah, the butterflies are much cheaper and I need my energies for other things, so it's what I use, now. It seems to keep him occupied longer. Plus, it keeps the kids in my sight for when I need them to pick up relics and such.

My rascal is named Poh and always seems to find his way near the finished statue (which I thought made them uncomfortable, but maybe only the adults) and he keeps a good bit of my village in the middle of the island.

As I stated elsewhere, after learning the hard way. Before I let a child pick up a collectible especially one I need, I do 2 things.

First I pause the game and check the path ahead to see if there are any yellow or red masks in the way. If there are red masks I hit them with lightening to get them to move. If yellow masks, I simply try to use another villager to move them out of the way.

Second, I carefully "lead" the child carrying the collectible by flying another villager ahead of him/her. By doing this, I can usually distract any aggressives who stumble into the child's path.

Caution: Do not use bees to clear the path. If you do, the child will drop the collectible as soon as they reach the bees.

Can you get the believer out?

This is brilliant! I have a believer that dislikes work, so I can make him chill there and distract the heathens instead of constantly going after him for goofing off!

I can't find this spot. I don't appear to have one in my game.
I have tried to put a believer where you said but he doesn't become stuck. Could you post a screen shot of exactly where it is?

Yeah, just pick him/her up and the heathens leave

i find that since pregnant women are always around in my village, they are very useful there

The sticky spot OptiTron is referring to may be a "glitch" in some games. It seems to work for some but not others. Either way, it will likely be corrected in any updates to the game.

The game provides numerous ways to limit the interference the Red & Yellow masks inflict on your tribe. One of the best ways is to simply keep an active eye on your tribe. Especially scan the path a kid is going to take before letting him/her pick up a collectible that you need.

I am so over the rascal, when he's converted I'm going to zap him with the bees and hope he's allergic to them!!!

I SO wanna kill that little rascal. If this were the sims I would've trap him in a doorless room.

I finally converted the rascal! Turns out there was a cute little girl under that mask.

My rascal was boy and I think I made him Esteemed Elder or at least Master Farmer.

I found today , making my 2nd tribe, that if you put the rascal with a nursing mom, he/she follows her EVERYWHERE she is going. As I posted in another post, about tricks, I used the nursing mom as my "blocker", sorry football fan, for the yellow masks, and get them to EITHER the to top or bottom of screen as I see where the contruction is going on. She is EASIER to catch when you have ALL the yellow masks together in a group and late last night, in my 1st tribe, I got 2 ELDERLY and used them as "blockers". But when I came back this morn, they had perished. I find that using the elderly and nursing moms will be easier for me on the yellow mask.

Somehow--and I really wish I knew how--My rascal got stuck in the waterfall down near the mausoleum. It was early in my game and I was still building a lot of huts and harvesting the noni bush. It was fantastic to have her out of the way. My villagers just worked all night with very little interruption.

I suspected that if I closed the game she would be unstuck when I started it again. I actually considered leaving the game open all night. I really wish I had done that because she was unstuck this morning. Ugh!

I'm going to try the "fix" mentioned upthread. Hopefully it works for my village.
