I had a peep get a marriage proposal. I put my iphone on sleep for a second, and i opened it back to the app, which crashed. When i opened it back up, the marriage proposal was in the house! i thought i had accidentally pressed accept before the app crashed, but i didnt. And when i recently looked at the family tree, my peep was listed as not married, although he had children with the nonmarried peep. He also had an adopted child, but i do not know if this is what caused it. I am wondering if this will affect further generations, or if it is just a glitch.

If you don't handle a marriage proposal by accepting or rejecting it when it arrives, the game will automatically accept it for you if you quit the game or it crashes. That's why the person was in the house when you opened the game again.

Unfortunately, crashes can do unpredictable things to any application, since it doesn't get to close gracefully. It's hard to say what long-term effect this will have on things.

What version of Virtual Families are you running? If you don't have the 1.1.1 update yet, you should update the game, since it has some important improvements that help prevent crashing on most devices. Also, if your family is at the 30th generation, there is a bug in version 1.0.0 that will cause serious problems with the game.

I have the newest update. But it is running on iOS 4. I don't know if that is an issue or not. But, it doesn't seem to be affecting things much. Their children show up on the tree, just not the mother.

The game and the update have been thoroughly tested on iOS 4 on everything from iPods to iPhone 4, and there are no known issues with that version. There's really no way to know for sure what caused the crash, though, without diagnostic information, which is not available to us on user devices.
