I currently have versions 1 & 2 and have had some problems with pausing the games. Today, on both versions, I had paused the games for the night, I do have to sleep. Anyway, when I came back to the games, they both said paused when the screen came up but on version 1 I had 5 females pregnant. All had had the babies while the game was paused. Same with version 2. I had 2 women pregnant and both had had the babies when I came back. Does this happen on the other versions as well?

It sounds like you encountered a situation that's described in this answer in our Support FAQ.

The best and safest way to pause the game when you're not going to play it for awhile is to press the space bar, which immediately pauses the game, then quit the game. Leaving it running, even if it's paused, leaves it vulnerable to issues caused by power failures, computer crashes, etc. It's best to quit the game when you're not actually playing it, with the game speed set to something appropriate for how long you expect to be away from it.

I did quit the game in both instances. That is what I do. I press the spacebar to pause the game, go into the menu, select Quit and exit the game. I shut my computer completely off at night, I do not leave it running all the time. The situation happened again today. Both versions. The pregnant females had had their babies, and some of my children had aged as if the game had continued to be played. Don't know what the problem is.

Unfortunately, we have never seen that happen in any of our testing. Since it's happening with both VV1 and VV2 on your computer, it's possible that there is some unique condition that's causing it. Have you checked your system clock when you're having this issue, to make sure that it's correct and stable?

No, didn't think of that but I did look and the clock is stable. I'm not sure what is going on. It's happened a couple of times but nothing lately. I'll keep watching.
