i am on the 9th generation , and usually the parents in my families die at the same time , or one of them dies and the other is above 60 so i just start the new generation so i have never thought about the remarrying thing
But now i have a family where the mother died young (36) , the father is 38 with 4 children , and i have read in some topics here that some players had a new marriage proposals for their adoptees after their partner died , so i was wondering if the father of my family can remarry ? or there is no hope and i should just start a new generation

(i'm also wondering if the father remarried where will his new wife be placed on the family tree?? and can he have more children with his new wife ?? and where will they be placed on the tree too ? )
if anyone has some screenshots about the remarriage things please show me !!! crazy
thanks smile

As LadyCFII states in this thread (one of many), "remarriage of a widowed peep is possible if a couple had no children (either by birth or adoption). However, if you choose to have the widowed spouse remarry, the new spouse will replace the deceased spouse on the family tree."

So, no, the father of your family will be unable to remarry, as he has children.

sorry but i have a couple of questions

-what if the children died too , can the parent remarry then ??

-what if i inherited the house to a son (or a daughter) then he/she married , then he/she died(without having any children) , can the wife ( or the husband) remarry and continue or not because he/she is not from the family ,( i mean the son/daughter will then be displaced from the family tree of his/her own family) ???

Any children, alive or passed, will not allow the remaining parent to marry.

I do believe that the surviving parent can remarry without children, but the (adult) son/daughter would end up being replaced.

My lady, Jpeg, got married to John. They didn't have any children, and John died. Jpeg got remarried to Metro, and then Jpeg died. Now Metro is remarried to Pette. I didn't know my people could get remarried! Has this happened to anybody else?
