My teenage son just turned 14, and as far as I can tell, all he can do is more chores like preparing meals or doing laundry. Can he do anything beyond gathering collectibles to earn money?

Not to earn money, no. He will do chores and study for school mainly.

Dang! I just had to yell at the daughter..."She can't even make any money?! WHAT?!"

Teenagers are good for helping around the house and with the smaller kids (making them brush teeth, etc.), though as in real life they don't work at a career. I love when my peeps turn 14 and can cook and such. It leaves Mom and Dad to concentrate on their careers.

I love having teenagers around- they do all the cooking and cleaning and let the parents work.

I know - it's like having roommates you can boss around.

Usually tennagers don't study this much... do they?? They just sit around all day

Compared with my own experience, the teenagers in VF are very well-behaved. They will obviously become fine citizens. They seem to study quite hard, and do a lot of the chores. In my (limited) experience of teenagers in real life, they tend to spend most of their time in their room, chatting to friends, surfing the Internet, and playing games using their own laptop if they are lucky enough to own one. They'll also spend an inordinate amount of time talking to their friends, or texting them, using their mobile (cell) phones. At least the VF peeps seem to be spared the telephone, mobile or landline.
