Hello I've done all of the Fish Environment Research, I haven't done any Food or Advertising Research though. I'd like to know if I should do them before I purchase any of the other eggs. I don't want to waste money.

there lies the fun of the game but not that i know any better but i'd guess maybe just the food one if you're worried more about them striving (i'm guessing that in food development it's more related to their health than advertising development?) and then leave the rest of the money for buying semi rare eggs (it all depends how much money you got anyway)

edit : also, do you have a lot of the items in the second row, like the starfish and some of those plants? I think those are probably also essential for the rarest species even with research? (just a guess)

I honestly hadn't even thought about buying the snail, aeration system, etc....I just want to find the rest of the Magic Fish lol! But I guess I should purchase some of that stuff before hand. It's just taking forever since I have to breed and sell these fish...and my highest priced one is only $22

yep, same here, my highest fish so far is only at 22$. The pace of the game is intended to be like that though. It's definitely a game where you do your thing (work or play another game or go to the forums and chat etc...) and then go back to it after a while, so patience is a virtue here , but I find the outcomes and satisfaction of building it much higher that way... i've been dumping a LOT of fish while trying different breeds but in trying different combinations I found some cool ones. I usually set the pace to fastest too
