Is this like a bug/glitch? (BTW I don't know what those words mean grin) I just made a new family, and I did the adoption and what not. Two days later, I bought that thing to fix the floor because an earthquake just happened. I placed it at the floor and quickly closed the game because my brother was gonna use the computer. (I left out a part, my people just had a baby. whistle ) I opened Virtual Families and saw this:
She was repairing the floor! shocked But whenever I put her on the damaged floor this happens:
She shakes her head and it will say "Caring for baby". I've never praised her but I did praised her husband. But I don't really see why that will affect the lady. crazy So is it a bug/glitch, or this is just normal?

Whenever I put a nursing mother on the floor repair task, she refuses. However, the other day my lady voluntarily started helping her hubby repair the floor, even though she had refused when I put her there initially. I guess he asked her more sweetly than I did.

It's happened to me. I just let her do it, though she's not supposed to. If she can help fix the house, I'm ok with it!

One thing you don't want to do is offer the mother a refreshing dip in the pool...I guess she isn't too keen on teaching the baby to swim. eek

She immediately jumps out of the pool and begins "running away" as if you just punished her.

I haven't noted whether this affects her happiness or not, but I know now that it's one of those things you don't want to do to a mother with a baby!

I think that if she has been working on the floor before she has the baby, she will go to it on her own, like she does with tasks such as laundry, but if you drop her on it, she says no.

I think the reason nursing moms don't (normally) do certain tasks like floor/wall repair is that, because they can't put the baby down while working on the task, they don't want the baby exposed to the chemicals in the solutions they use.

As for swimming, I think it is hilarious to watch how desperate they are to get out of the pool. I sometimes put nursing moms in the pool just to watch them scramble to get out. On the other hand, they take the baby into the shower with them. Just my thoughts.

In the shower, the baby's head isn't under the water wink

Kikiann11, I don't really have pics from Isola. That's in there to be funny. I think we're all touching bases here: The mother, with (a) child(ren), might randomly work, even though she's not supposed to. Two things can be done: You can let her work, or pick her up, and she will do something else. Mothers that are nursing don't like to get in the water.
