My rules (slightly strict)
Kids 2-8:
1. No banging pots.
2. No playing in the dirt, ESPECIALLY when it rains.
3. No drawing on walls.
4. No running away, or saying 'Stop nagging'
5. No cooking until 14
6. Do not hurt the dog
You may not watch TV or browse the web/play video games except for 1 hour every night, and 2 hours on the weekend nights. (I call this Free-time)
IF YOU BREAK A RULE, YOU WILL GET IN TROUBLE
Preteens (9-13):
1. All rules that apply to kids 2-8
2. No popping pimples or applying make-up/deodorant in the prescence of others!
3. Studying is always welcome. But Study Hour is for one hour at night (any hour before 8:00 PM) And you may NOT skip it.
4. You MUST do your homework before Study Hour.
5. Chores and cleaning around the house are done during any free time, but you may still play if all the cleaning is taken care of.
6. No disrespect to me OR mom and dad. Got it?
TV time and computer time for children is also applied to you.
BREAK A RULE, and you clean ALL day, plus trouble for you!
Teens (14-18):
1.Same rules as preteens...
2. No childish behavior is tolerated... EVER.
3. No cursing and do not exceed your Relaxation Hour. Do not skip your Study Hour. And always clean where there is things needing to be cleaned.
Same TV time and Computer time as Preteens and children.
BREAK A RULE... No nothing but cleaning for the WHOLE day AND no relaxing. GOT IT?
No parent rules except that they can not relax too often and may NOT play video games. They must work on their career.
