Do you have any rules for your family? I do.

1. When all of the kids have gone to college the parents get to do what they want to do.
2. If both of the parents are office workers then the over 14 kids have to find something else to do.
3. Telly is banned unless I take you there or it is Friday. Or your kids have gone to college.
4. Children are not to:
a) Poke the plants
b) Jump on the bed
c) Draw on the wall
d) Hide toys

I haven't played in a while, but I use to make the kids over 14 repair the wall and floors, because they prolly did the damage when they were little anyway. I also didn't allow tots to cook... rediculous that they even can... also, NO "trying to make a baby" with children in the room.

Those used to be my rules for VF for a while, but then I had the feeling those rules were a bit strict, so today my family has no rules.

My rules are:
Parents:
1. No doing unproductive things, such as:
a ) Picking pimples ( But it's big, Guiding Hand Sir)
b ) Having snacks so much and wondering why the house is dirty
Children:
1. No banging dishes
2. No drawing on walls
3. No jumping on beds- especialy when the parents are making a baby
4. Don't go in the parents room when they are having a baby
Bedtime dates:
2-3: 6:00 PM
4-5: 6:30 PM
6-7: 7:00 PM
8-10:7:30 PM
11-13:7:45 PM
14-16: 8:15 PM
17-18: 9:00 PM
Parents: 9:30 PM
1. Eat two meals a day and one snack a day
2. TV can be watched on Friday night, or Saturday
3. No computer unless collectable, work, or reading e-mail
4. Be kind to all the kids
5. Be considerate to parents
6. The dad works while the mom does collectables and other chores with the kids( if any)

I'm very lax with my peeps if the rules given above are typical. When they are kids, especially, they are allowed to do pretty much as they like. Hey, childhood is the time for fun! About they only rule for them is NO DRAWING ON THE WALLS! However, kids should expect to be interrupted without warning to pick up trash, pull weeds, and so on.

The teenagers seem to be a pretty serious bunch generally, and already tend to spend a good proportion of their time helping with chores or studying. They are allowed pretty well what time off they like for surfing the Internet, playing games, or watching TV.

In general, adults should remember that work comes first. They should expect to spend most of their time working, even if it means ignoring some of the chores. Since nursing mothers can't work, they should expect to be asked to tidy the house, pick up collectibles, and so on, like the kids. Once a peep gets to Master in their profession they no longer need to work unless they want to.

I'm not overly strict but here are my rules.
1. If you bother a nursing mother you will meet the red glove (dun dun dunnn).
2. Kids under the age of 14 may only get out of bed if nature is calling.
3. No snacks before dinner
4. Bedtimes are: ages 2-6 6:30-7:00, 7-10 7:30-8:00, 11-13 8:30-9:00, 14-18 9:30-10:30, and 20-death is whenever their tired.
5. Leave the fish alone.
6. You can only watch TV for 1 hour, twice a day.
7. You can only play on the computer (this does not count taking tests or working) for 1 hour 2-3 times a day (it depends how good they have been).
8. The younger kids must leave the older kids alone when they are doing school work.
9. If you break it, you fix it (unless your a kid. Then you may jump up and down on the water that is coming out of the sink).
10. The older kids must alternate who does the dishes.
11. Do not draw on the wall, bang dishes, or jump on the beds.
12. Please pop a pimple only when no one else is in the bathroom.
13. Clean the house as soon as it gets dirty.
14. Organic foods ONLY.
15. Do not hide the toys.
16. Do not poke the plants.
17. Everyone must pull the weeds by hand if there is no weed killer in the store.
18. Parents work from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. but they can take short breaks.
19. Do not go into the parents room when they are trying to make a baby.
20. Unless there is bad weather, everyone must go outside for at least 1 hour.
21. Parents must alternate making dinner unless one of them is sick or the mother is nursing.
22. Kids ages 2-6 must take at least 1 nap a day.
23. If you hurt one of your siblings you will get hit with the red glove, repeatedly
24. Nuring mothers MUST be allowed to relax.
25. You only get dessert if you eat a fruit or vegetable.

The Rules:

{1} Bedtime is 6:00-6:30 (ages 2-5), 6:30-7:30 (ages 6-8), 8:00-9:30 (ages 9-16), whenever you're tired (ages 17-death).

{2} T.V. is an hour-long limit. Grown-ups (20+), get two hours. Family time is special, however, and can have three hours. But ONLY family time!

{3} No snacks before dinner! No dessert if dinner is not eaten! Organic foods only, if possible.

{4} Kids must do chores, or else no T.V.

{5} Kids 2-6 must take at least one nap per day, OR ELSE.

{6} Nursing mothers shall be treated with respect, OR ELSE.

{7} Please pop a pimple only when no one else is in the bathroom.

{8} Do not go into the parents room when they are trying to make a baby.

{9} Sick people shall get to rest. Old people will get to lounge about. Children will get to be childish, etc.

{10} No banging dishes.

{11} No painting on the walls.

{12} Kids must only get out of bed for "Natue is Calling". There WILL be CURFEW.

{13} OBEY THE GUIDING HAND! I RULE SUPREME!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!

My rules:
CHILDREN RULES:

ALL OF THESE ARE PUNISHABLE BY NON ORGANIC FOOD, BAD CANDY, THE RED GLOVE, OR NO TV,COMPUTER,PINBALL ECT.

TEEN RULES:
1. Studying comes first.
2. Then chores, but if you are an only child expect to have no time for anything but studying,cooking, and cleaning!Especially when parents are over 40!
3. Must respect parents.
RULES BEING BROKEN CAN RESULT IN BAD CANDY, THE RED GLOVE, AND LOSS OF PRIVELAGES.

PARENT RULES:
Now before we get down to these, let me just tell you.. I am easy on the girls!
1.If a mothers last child is younger than seven she can take as many breaks from cleaning/ working as often and for how long she wants.
2. Parents over 40 shall have less work than their children, and when an occupation is mastered they are free to do as they please except watch TV (unless on certain nights.. view "FAMILY RULES".)

FAMILY RULES:
1. No scaring Missy, the cat.
2. Be respectful of one another.
3. When yuor dirty, shower or wash your hands. Plain and simple.
4. TV is only allowed on saturdays for 15 minutes. Same with the computer for non-work/selling collectable buisness
5. coughing and sneezing, ect will be a doctors consultation so as soon as you are better be prepared to pay the money back by doing whatever you can, even if you are a child!

Those are my rules.

My rules (slightly strict)

Kids 2-8:
1. No banging pots.
2. No playing in the dirt, ESPECIALLY when it rains.
3. No drawing on walls.
4. No running away, or saying 'Stop nagging'
5. No cooking until 14
6. Do not hurt the dog
You may not watch TV or browse the web/play video games except for 1 hour every night, and 2 hours on the weekend nights. (I call this Free-time)
IF YOU BREAK A RULE, YOU WILL GET IN TROUBLE

Preteens (9-13):
1. All rules that apply to kids 2-8
2. No popping pimples or applying make-up/deodorant in the prescence of others!
3. Studying is always welcome. But Study Hour is for one hour at night (any hour before 8:00 PM) And you may NOT skip it.
4. You MUST do your homework before Study Hour.
5. Chores and cleaning around the house are done during any free time, but you may still play if all the cleaning is taken care of.
6. No disrespect to me OR mom and dad. Got it?
TV time and computer time for children is also applied to you.
BREAK A RULE, and you clean ALL day, plus trouble for you!

Teens (14-18):
1.Same rules as preteens...
2. No childish behavior is tolerated... EVER.
3. No cursing and do not exceed your Relaxation Hour. Do not skip your Study Hour. And always clean where there is things needing to be cleaned.
Same TV time and Computer time as Preteens and children.
BREAK A RULE... No nothing but cleaning for the WHOLE day AND no relaxing. GOT IT?

No parent rules except that they can not relax too often and may NOT play video games. They must work on their career.
