Is there any way to tell if an elderly villager is close to dying?

I'm trying to get the 'villager reaches 90 years old' achievement, but I leave my elderly villagers in perfect health and they're dead the next time I check on them. 84 is my highest so far.

Any tips for longevity?

Hmm.. I think that if the elder became a master doctor and if you get some medicine tech. Good luck, Charity!

Choosing the Nature faction is supposed to increase villagers' longevity, but I must say I've not noticed much difference myself. In fact, several of my villagers who have reached 90 have been in the Science faction.

Hmm, well I have a nature and a magic tribe, both which have the highest medicine tech and Master Doctors. I guess it's just luck.

Thanks.

I have found that builders and farmers die a few years earlier, doctors and parents tend to live slightly longer than average. But this is just what i have noticed.

Well, this might not be a sure thing, (and I'm not sure if it's a spoiler so I'll hide it), but I have found that
Click to reveal..
if I close the game (unpaused) for two or three days, the villagers often reach a higher age before passing. Might be worth a try. smile
