basic Value questions

hi everyone, really enjoying the game. Have a couple of questions regarding fish value:
What exactly determines the base price of a fish? Is it its global rarity or is it depending on how much of each (proportion) you got in the selling tank?
Also, since fish that are born with lower health need a boost in tank research, does that mean that the lower the initial health, the more valuable the fish?

Often the more fragile fish are more valuable, although this might not apply to all of them.

The more fish you have in your tank, the more people that come into the store. Also magic fish help bring more people in the door. You will find that fish will sell pretty fast with a full thank, but when you get down to two or one fish, it will take a little longer.

yep, I did notice that already. I'm refering to the price itself though. Customers go in with happy fces but then when i'm down to two fish, they show unhappy smilies in the thought bubbles. that's why i was wondering what the best thing to do is when I'm at that point... 1. set a fixed price that people like in the beginning and just not pay attention to the thought bubbles towards the end? which is what I've been doing 2. decrease the price... then increase again when you got more fish... then decrease.... etc?? I stopped doing that cause it seemed tedious to me. 3. or just leave it at base price (or close to it)? and that's why i was wondering if the prices of my two fishies up there were way off or not I'm sure htere is a more "lucrative" way than another... I just don't know if I'm too way off in choosing choice 1 (I'm very new to the game, just got it yesterday), any suggestions please...

If peeps are buying as with option 1, they will buy until all the fish are gone, although it could take awhile. I always stick to the going price, unless I’m in a hurry, then I’ll “give” the fish away just to empty the sell tank.

ok, gotcha. "going price" is the base price that is given to you after a new fish is born, htat it?

Well not exactly. It all depends what is in your sell tank, and what level you have researched for advertising. All these will dictate how much you can you’re your fish for. So if you have not researched any adverting, and you have not purchased any ornaments that increase your customers, then yes, the base price is what is automatically given with your fish. If you have some of the above, then you will be able to sell them for more. You just have to figure it out by trial and error. Although there are some spoilers on what you can sell a few of the fish in this forum.
