I started my 2nd tribe today,letting the 1st one ADD on its own, and found out that the 6TH herb. that was found in the 1st game, comes up as a REGULAR herb in the 2nd game. You DON'T have to WAIT to get a master scientist in the 2nd game to find it.
I also got the Golden coin in my 2nd game as my 1st EVENT, and picked tech pts. I was just thinking AFTER doing it,IF I had chosen the "use on cothing", being I have just started a NEW tribe,IF I would had gotten the "next level" in culture then OR would it have to come up LATER.
I am also wondering what OTHER surprises will come since I started my 2nd tribe.

There should always be six herbs at the start of the game. Perhaps you just didn't notice it at first?
