I have a thriving village I love, have had it going for months and months and plan to keep it going as long as I can.

The one crazy making thing is that I cannot find my last two feathers! In fact quite often when the chief points out a rare collectible I don't see anything at all. I know not to pause as it might stop the collectible from appearing so I decided I just must be looking in the wrong places.

I would love some hints as to where feathers tend to lurk (don't need the others as I have them all and have no problem finding ocean things and turtle shells for days). I am obviously not looking in the right places!

I don't think there is anywhere special that feathers tend to lurk. Unlike the other collectibles they seem to appear pretty well anywhere on the map, I'm afraid.

OH dear- I mean I do look everywhere, but I thought perhaps there were some unique places you all might have found some of the hard to find ones (ie the last ones ;-) )

Here's my sadness- I promised myself I would not play VV4 until I find them. <<<<<sob>>>>>. I bought it way back then and it sits on my hard drive tantalizing me whilst "points our rare collectible" after "points out rare collectible" goes by. Sigh.

While I am asking....are there ever collectibles of any kind in the secret room? That is one place I don't look, assuming they would not appear there.

On my phone I have all the feathers and all the turtleshells and all the sea treasures but still need two puzzle pieces. Now those, I think, only appear in front of the cave- let me know if I am wrong! I use my phone to check which feathers they are so I look for those colors. etc.

I luckily did not give myself the same deal about VV4 with my phone situation. Sigh.

I don't remember ever seeing a feather inside the room, but that doesn't mean they definitely don't appear there. They certainly appear from time to time on the steps leading up to the door.

There are a some mods in the VV3 Mods forum that are aimed at making collectibles easier to spot. Why not try installing one of them?

Since I can't do that on my phone, does a puzzle piece ever appear anywhere besides the cave front? It did not on my laptop game....

My puzzle pieces always appeared in that lower section, around the rubble and bushes.

Oh yes, that is what I men about the cave- there is the entrance to that hidden room down there- same place you mean!

Darn- my son and I tried to follow the instrux for the mod but we do not see an image folder where the Mac instructions say it will be. We get as far as opening Resources and there is no Images folder...this is what there is. There is no place to post this problem so I guess I am stuck searching and searching and not playing VV4. Until I give in.

Did you buy the game from LDW or one of the games portals? I know that some of them use a wrapper for copy protection that prevents access to the subfolders in Mac versions. Judging by some of those file names you give it looks like that was the case.
