I've got the food part fully under the tech, but is there anyone know what extra option I get now?
As I don't see any new food source.

Are you talking about the different tech levels? If so, click the '?' button next to the tech in the Tech screen to see the advantages given by each level.

In level 3 Food Tech you get more food points per item than before.

The new food sources are some puzzles but not the tech levels! But you may need some tech level to solve puzzles. crazy laugh
