This is a serious question. It seems like it should be a really boring sort of game. I mean, breeding FISH? And it's so slow-running, there's almost no action at all.

But something about this game is addictive. Why is it that I can't make myself get up from the computer and leave the game, even when it's 2AM and I'm so sleepy I literally nod off on the keyboard? Just one more sale, one more hatching....

What do you think makes FT so enthralling? I can't put my finger on it. I just know I can't leave it alone!!

It's because the goal is to collect them all (magic fish and total fish combos) and humans love to collect things.
Think...Beanie Babies, Pokemon, state quarters, whatever.

this is such a relaxing game that you can just sit around and sell things

And it doesnt get so tiring

It allows me to play it at work between rounds. I leave for a round and the fish sell, I buy eggs or breed and I work on something else for a while and come back to find my fish grown.
