I have dropped every villager I have on the dry grass. They all see it but NO one will gather any. What am I missing here? I have the fire built just needs to be lit. Help!

Like I said above I CAN'T get a villager to harvest the grass. I'm sorry if I was unclear on that point. I know where the grass is but the villagers won't harvest it.

It could be because they already have harvested it! Try to put a villager on the fire pit to see what he/she does.
