in the beginning i was buying meds left and right to keep fish healthy. and just tossing what was left if i needed a new one.

what i have done now as someone suggested if its a "cheap" or easy to breed fish i just toss it.

BUT now before i buy meds, i go ahead and use whats left in each tank, even if no one is sick. it "seems" that i have not had as many sick fish either. i dont know if this is the case. but it seems to be working for me, i will only get one sick now IF that as opposed to 3 or 5 like before.

I agree, if the fish that is sick is worth $4 what is the point spending $40 on meds?

Why? You ask why? Well I'll tell you why! Becasue fish have just as much of a right to live as your dog or your cat! Thats why! Someone should turn you in!

Are you running FT in windowed or full-screen mode? If you're running it in windowed mode, that's why your fish are jumpy. I don't know why they would be jumpy in full-screen mode. Maybe there's not enough memory or cpu power...

Perhaps they're nervous about their impending illnesses.

My fish are jumpy sometimes, but that is because my FT sometimes runs slowly, it's very temperamental,

All LDW games will give up CPU resources to other programs when need. So if another program needs the CPU resources FT is using, FT freely gives them up, and thus will cause FT to pause. Then when the other program is done (or uses less CPU resources), FT will take off again and redraw the screen causing the fish to "jump".

Sometimes those cheap fish make a very expnsive one when bred with the right fish. For example a twin-fin fruitfish bred with a silky stickfish who are both cheap ones make a golden goldbulb which sells for up to 55 bucks each ! I have a second tank where all I do is breed those ones for sale and the money just pours in so that you can advance quicker in the game.

Maybe they're worried the Village Idiot will trash them, he makes me jumpy too.

Mine has stopped jumping now, but I don't know what caused it in the first place. :S But oh well, it's better now.
Thanks, Becky.
