Hi there. It is my first round on VV3 and I didn't make a chief yet because I discovered they can't DO anything (work). I wanted to wait until a child became an adult and the nursing mama was available for work before finding the chief. After doing that however, now I am considering waiting even longer as I am not having a huge food problem and so can't see the advantage really. I could use the extra food just in case I slip up my population though.

So what I am wondering is, how much food does the chief give?

I am trying to decide if the chief is worth losing a worker for. I know I will have to do it eventually..


Also -

Does anyone know how long "1 Day" is in game time?

It isn't like there is night or these guys sleep.

the chef usually give around 130 food, and 1 day is 24 hour. In my case i prefer child to be the chief and make he/she directing the work

Why don't you try making one of the young children chief? Oh, and there is no "night" in VV3. There is only day. 1 hr in fast mode (or normal mode-I forgot which one)is a year to them.

Thanks. I made a chief. I like that he boosts the production of the workers. I didn't need the food, but I am sure it helps anyway.

I only allow children to try on the chief's coat at the beginning of the game. The loss of a worker can otherwise be a hindrance. Chiefs who are children, however, can still collect mushrooms and collectibles, and carry out the usual chief's duties as well. I'll only look for the chief outside of the children when at least one child has grown up to become an adult.
