:(Why did LDW make VV2 so difficult. You have to watch the villager like a hawk to keep them on task. It's worse than in the first VV. If their not walking on the beach :?, their cooling their feet in the pond :(, or enjoying the pond. I got 12 farmers fishing & harvesting, when it comes up, and I still can't keep up with the food. Also the points are still too high. Why don't you make these thing a little more attainable.

are you sure you checked the occupation of the peeps in the detailscreen? I have never had this problem in such a serious way, although I play all my tribes on 'hard' from VV1, VV2 and VV3. in the beginning you should watch a peep untill it says 'trainee'. hope this helps

I'm sorry you aren't enjoying the game. Most of the dedicated fans found VV2:The Lost Children, to be a major improvement over VV1. Likewise we found VV3: The Secret City to be an improvement over VV2.

Each new game has better graphics, and different challenges than the previous one. It is the reason so many of us are dieing to get our hands on VV4: The Tree of Life. We look forward to the new puzzles, and to see how the game has improved over the previous ones.

I would suggest that you follow some of the proven strategies that you will find in the VV2 Forum. Mostly, I would suggest that you start out playing the game in "Easy" mode, and be very careful not to grow your tribe too fast.

Most of us, will not let a tribe grow larger than 25 villagers, until we have at least level 2 of all techs, and level 3 of farming. This makes it much easier to keep the tribe from starving.

My suggested way to start the game is to keep starting over until I have a tribe with at least 1 runner in it. At first you will only have 2 adults, and 1 kid old enough to work. If you do as suggested and start with a runner, you should put that person to fishing. Put the other 2 on research.

By the time the algae appears, you should have enough tech points to buy level 2 farming and science. This will allow you to use another food source until you get level 3 farming and science. Once you have those, you can have unlimited food.

Once your tribe starts growing, I suggest either 1 runner and 1 regular farmer, or 3 regular farmers, for every 15 people in the tribe. The rest can divide the other chores. Also don't forget that kids can gather mushrooms, and this will often save a tribe from starving.

VV2 is my favorite of all the VV's so far.

I agree with Rockmower. The three VVs so far all build on the solid foundation laid by VV1 and improve on it. To just repeat VV1 in a slightly different setting wouldn't be any improvement. That said, for sheer playability, I think I prefer VV2 at the moment. The game balance is about right; it's important not to over-extend the tribe, but also not to be too cautious. To make techs more easily attainable by reducing the points required or by a stew would spoil it. The game is meant to be played over a period of several days, not hours.

i have never had a problem with any of the VVs ive got the odd villager that doesnt like to work but i just click a preference and keep an eye on them and that usually helps - i personally like a challenge and i cant wait toget my hands on VV4 its going to be amazing

what i do with lazy villagers is try all of the skills till they work

I am sorry to have offended all VV players. I am a pain suffer and sometimes I just am overwhelmed by the pain. I just purchased VV3 and so far enjoy it.

I think that VV2 is hardest to start, but once you get started, it is pretty easy to comtinue. I like VV3 the best out of all the games, though.

No offense taken. while I enjoy all 4 VVs, some learning curves are more frustrating than others. I know that even tho I've gotten Into the swing of all of the games I still gravitate to one or 2 that I'm always playing.

I noticed that some of the heads and clothes in VV1 & 2 are the same. And some of the heads and clothes in VV3 & 4 are the same.
But nothing in 1 & 2 matches 3 & 4!
