Helping Yasa

Yasa is a 2-year-old chief. She is all alone. When my mom started the tribe as a test game, she left it unpaused. Yasa is the only one left. My sister and I will be helping her over a period of time. I thought you all might want to know about her. I plan on posting updates as often as possible. There will probably be a lack of updates when VV4 comes out. Hopefully everyone can understand this. If you have any suggestions or advice, don't hesitate.

Yasa is ok. Mom is helping her too. She is new to VV. Yasa found her first mushie! She also found some collectibles. Maybe I'll write a fanfic about her...

With Yasa being the only one in the village and her being chief unless you get an event that brings you more villagers when yasa gets to 14 she won't be able to collect the collectables and mushrooms anymore so will have to make magic food once a day just to survive. The worst is that your game will end when she dies. Without other villagers you can't complete the puzzles or tasks. You should have her making magic food now to supplement the mushrooms. This she can do with level 1 leadership if I remember correctly.

Sadly, there won't be any events until Yasa becomes an adult. They only happen when there's at least one adult on the island.
Was Yasa already the chief when she was left alone, or was she made chief afterwards? It's too late now, but she might possibly be better off as an ordinary tribesperson. Although she would lose the daily benefit of the magic food she would at least be able to farm when she grows up.
If you haven't already I'd suggest you put the game on slow speed. That cuts down on the amount of food consumed per hour. I don't know the actual figures, but, if we say that she eats 24 units on fast speed, she would only eat 6 on slow. Since mushrooms are worth 6 units no matter what the speed (35 for red ones) she should be able to find enough mushrooms to start building up a stock of food. The daily allowance of magic food comes every 24 hours, no matter what the speed. I'd also suggest you pause the game before closing, when you can't look out for mushrooms.
On slow speed she should stay alive at least until she grows up. Then she'll only have any stored food plus the magic food to live on. You'll just have to start hoping for an event to bring one or more companions (at least one male). There are several tales of tribes surviving against the odds, so DON'T GIVE UP!

In particular, I suggest you read The Story of the Hard Tribe (warning - PDF file). It is a truly touching tale and inspiration for everyone who finds themself in a similar position.

I hope it turns out well. So far, the most epic story of survival against all odds is The Story of the Hard Tribe, which is a strong encouragement to never give up.

Yasa has been doing great. I have already read The Hard Tribe- in fact, I liked it so much, I once posted looking for it! I always pause it when I'm not actively playing. It's paused now, even though the game is running! Here are my current conditions: Population: 1. Food:384. Tech Points: 299. As you can see, I'm doing pretty well. I do plan on writing a fanfic- if I can find the time! She became cheif after I discovered she was alone. Before that, she was a baby in her mom's arms! I'm sorry that I haven't posted lately. I've been rather busy. And I probably won't post for a while, if you see what I mean. Gotta go now. *walks over to other computer to play with Yasa*

I hope Yasa will be ok. Maybe she will have an event that brings another villager to the island, and he will have kids with Yasa.
