So far three of my five families have got to generation 30 and have been affected in this way. One of the others will become affected soon, and the other within a month at the present rate. I've restarted the three from scratch, but have saved backups in case a fix for the bug is found.

Hi Arnie - thank you for responding. I'm sad to read you had to restart "from scratch". I finally won all trophies in Gen 31 and was looking forward to hanging with the peeps coming up with new hair colors for the kids. sigh. I'll keep checking this thread for updates.

I just started my 32nd generation in one of my families. However, since my previous post on this subject was moved to the Technical Issues forum by a moderator, I have posted the details regarding this new generation in that forum. Just putting a note here to let you know in case you are interested in viewing it. It is under the thread entitled--VF single woman with 6 kids.

Hi Jenny -

Thanks for the info. I have to say that I keep selecting people to keep the game going and will wait to see if they come up with a fix soon.

I am having the same problem ...new generation person not getting any marriage proposals but the detail screen saying they have anywhere from 1 to 6 ...the only options are to keep hoping for a marriage proposal or restart the game? The savegame technique did not seem to work for me.

Hi Leecie -

I just keep hitting the New Generation button and pick a person at random to keep my game going until they get a fix. Otherwise you could end the game. There aren't any other options at this point...at least that I know of. Good luck.

I guess one of the advantages of continuing the game by replaying the same generation is that maybe you could catch some of the trophies you are missing, except of course any regarding marriage or children, since those events don't occur. Yes, you can still get adoption events, but unless you adopt 4 or 6 kids, you can't get those trophies in this setting. GL to all who are "hanging in there" through this method. Hopefully a fix will be introduced soon to make it worth your patience and persistence.

By the way Arthur said in this thread that a fix has already been made and should be available in a few weeks: http://www.ldwforums.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/212408/3

If you are past your 30th generation, you won't get any marriage proposals.
