You didn't waste money! The plant helps prevent disease, it doesn't eliminate it altogether. Once you get all of the various things that are available in the game, you will rarely see diseased fishies!

So I need to buy the other plants and do more research to make it really beneficial. Ok, I guess I just figured I'd have less sick fish once I got it. I'm only on level 2 for food and environment, but have found 2 good fish to breed and sell, so I'll just do that and get into the researching. Thanks for your reply!

I got all that are available in the shop and found 5 magic fish. Along with the magic fish comes the disease. Especially the tank with the seahorse. But I'm glad anyway, it keeps me busy while playing.

Never suspected overfeeding might have ill effect on fish. I always do that. Especially after medicating them. Heh. I just wanted to help them with the bitter aftertaste.

Yes, you can actually kill the fish by overfeeding them. If you watch a fish's health meter and feed it when it's fully fed, you can see its health decline with each feeding.
