I think I might be getting the hang of this just a bit lol. But I was wondering if I buy research and stuff and then buy tanks will teh research go for that new tank?

Yes, when you do the research it applies to all tanks you have and to the 2nd tank if you buy it after the research. The same with the plants, when you buy them, they are installed in all tanks at once.

Food and medicine only go into the tank you add it to. Meaning if you feed the fish in your sales tank, it doens't feed the fish in tank 1
