Some things i have noticed a lot while playing. It would be nice to know in Plant Tycoon and Fish Tycoon for that matter, how many doses of something you have left, even in the windows versions simply a tooltip popup when you move your mouse over it or something. Its a pain not knowing which plant to put food on if you cant afford more.

Also none of the plants have names, how can i possibly begin to catalog what im making and breeding. Basically all i've been doing is cross breeeding everything, taking a couple seeds from each, selling all my plants and repeating. Im guessing this isnt a good philosophy because i havent found a single magic plant yet after a week or two of playing on and off. Ug.

Granted almost all my plants are selling around 100$ each so im making money but im not really discovering anything magic plants

Yeah, i've run into that same problem when putting down a cross-breed catalog. The main thing i've done is sketched the plants and seed and done it that way.

I think it would help to be able to see the parents of a plant and see which seed you put in which pot. I am loosing track already and I have only just begun. Any chance for an upgraded version? So far the only hint I have is the price placed on the plant. With all this confusion in breeding I don't think I am going to do more than the demo as I don't think its going to be worth spending $20. The palnts don't even have names to identify them. Is there an upgrade in the works? How hard is it to become a beta tester?

Most people who want to track their breeding program for Plant Tycoon use spreadsheets and make up names for the plants, although it's a lot easier to discover all 4 magic plants by random breeding than it is to do the same thing in Fish Tycoon.

An improved version of Plant Tycoon is being developed for Windows and Mac. There are no plans to update the PDA versions. You can follow the progress of the game's development by checking out our Previews Page.

You might want to check out this thread, since I've answered some questions about beta testing there. There is also a link to the Beta Tester FAQ and Application in that thread.

That's really bad news that you are not pursuing Palm appliations. I don't know what I would do without my Treo 700p. I have completely stopped using my desktop computer as it takes up too much of my time running back and forth while trying to keep up with work and kids. You have some awesome games for the palm, actually the best I have seen so far. Please reconsider doing away with developing more palm applications!
