Hi! I'm new to this site and I joined because I really need help with this game. I don't have the game for the PC but for the Ipod Touch and I'm so clueless of how the game works. Any help on learning how to play would be great. Especially on topics such as how the time passes and how the store works. Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the Forums . On VF, if you do 2x the speed then they age im pretty sure 1 age every 2 hours. If you do it 1x speed then they go 1 age every 4 hours. The shop restocks every 4 hours i believe. This is off the top of my head and I havent played VF in about a month so I might be wrong but Im pretty sure im right.

There is only one game speed in Virtual Families, and you can either let it run at that speed or pause it.

I suggest you read the hints and tips in the Virtual Families Guide forum.

They're mostly written for the PC games, but the iPod/iPhone version is very similar, although you can't backup savegame files or use mods.

Does anyone know why every time I close the game it makes you start all over again?

That sometimes happens right after the game is installed. The game is supposed to automatically save progress every 10 minutes and when you exit to the Home screen. This sticky post has more information, including a procedure for correcting the problem.

Thanks! I was looking at some of the other boards and say that some of the photos where taken during the night. Is there a setting where you can turn on day and night?
